Overview and Structure This system is designed to evaluate the slag-erosion resistance of refractory products in accordance with the national standard GB/T 8931-2007, Test Method 3: rotating specimen with gas purging. It is a vertical high-temperature atmosphere electric furnace composed of a furnace shell, heating module, crucible, operation and control system, and supporting auxiliary components. The design emphasizes safe, reliable operation and user-friendly controls. Principle The testing principle strictly follows GB/T 8931-2007 for slag-resistance testing of refractories, specifically the rotating specimen gas-through method. Specimens are immersed and rotated in molten slag under controlled atmospheric and thermal conditions to assess erosion resistance. Key Features - Advanced temperature control: a high-precision digital intelligent controller paired with a continuous (non-on/off) SCR voltage regulator. Users can set process curves, store multiple temperature profiles, multiple PID parameter sets, and use PID self-tuning to prevent overshoot and continuously modulate heating power. - Flexible atmospheres: supports melting in ambient air or under protective atmospheres as required by the test method. Main Technical Parameters - Maximum operating temperature: 1600 ℃ - Heating method: silicon-molybdenum (Si-Mo) rods; Temperature measurement: platinum-rhodium thermocouple - Heating rate: room temperature to 1300 ℃ at 1–15 ℃/min; 1300–1600 ℃ at 1–5 ℃/min - Rated heating power: approximately 16 kW - Temperature control: closed-loop PID, programmable with 50-segment temperature curves, automatic control - Temperature measurement: platinum-rhodium thermocouple, S type - Furnace atmosphere: Air, N2, Ar - Gas flow range: 0–10 L/min - Temperature control accuracy: ≤ ±1 ℃; Soaking accuracy: ≤ ±2 ℃ - Specimen size: 40 × 40 × 230 mm; alternative 40 × 40 × X rectangular prism (X adjustable by crucible height, > 200 mm; typically 230 mm); up to 4 specimens per test - Crucible size: customized to specimen dimensions - Specimen quantity: 4 - Rotation mechanism: supports simultaneous testing of 4 specimens; specimens remain suspended in slag and perform planetary motion - Specimen fixtures: secure clamping to ensure safety
