The high-temperature specific heat capacity tester is based on the mixed method and leverages modern computer-based measurement to automatically determine the specific heat capacity of solid materials at different temperatures. It is widely used in research and education for the study of specific heat in solids. The system comprises a vertical tubular resistance furnace (resistance wire heating up to 1000 °C, molybdenum wire heating up to 1700 °C, and a graphite tube furnace for temperatures above 1700 °C), a thermostat, temperature controller, high-precision thermometer, calorimeter, and a computer data acquisition system. During testing, the specimen is heated in the tubular furnace to the target experimental temperature and then dropped into the calorimeter. Throughout the process, the computer system records the temperature changes of both the specimen and the calorimeter to calculate the material’s specific heat capacity. For samples prone to oxidation at high temperatures, a vacuum system is required. Key technical specifications: 1) Temperature range: room temperature to 1400 °C. 2) Temperature control accuracy: ±0.3 K per 30 minutes (dependent on settings). 3) Minimum temperature resolution: 0.01 K. 4) Heating method: resistance wire (or molybdenum wire). 5) Intelligent PID regulation with program control. 6) Full-process computer data acquisition. 7) Vacuum capability: calorimeter < 2 × 10^-3 Pa; heater < 5 Pa (configurable per sample); typical setting: −0.1 MPa. 8) Test software operating environment: Windows XP, Chinese user interface. 9) Sample size: diameter 11 mm, height 30 mm; powders use a standard specimen cup. 10) Test principle compliant with military standards GJB330A-2000 and GJB1715-93.
