The DIL 0809 PC high-precision dilatometer integrates multiple performance advantages in a compact, refined form factor compared with the earlier PCY model. It is simple to operate, offers a wide application range, and delivers excellent measurement performance. An optimized differential sensor design provides outstanding reproducibility even without external temperature control. The horizontal configuration simplifies furnace handling and sample loading. Samples that are not perfectly dimensioned can be easily placed into the grooved, tubular sample holder. A thermocouple positioned close to the sample ensures highly repeatable temperature measurements. The instrument features c-DTA functionality, enabling simultaneous detection of endo- and exothermic effects while measuring the coefficient of thermal expansion. Multiple furnace options extend the measurement range and application scope: -196–200 ℃, RT–500 ℃, RT–1200 ℃, RT–1400 ℃, and RT–1600 ℃. Multiple furnace bodies are available; pricing is configured accordingly. The accompanying software includes standard measurement and analysis functions, plus a Rate-Controlled Sintering (RCS) option. Based on user settings, the system dynamically optimizes the heating rate according to the sample’s shrinkage rate during sintering. This enables maintaining a constant shrinkage rate to improve sintering process control and outcomes. The product complies with ASTM E 831, ASTM D 696, ASTM D 3386, and DIN 51045.
