On October 26, 2016, we signed a purchase contract with Shanghai Songsun Special Metals Co., Ltd. for a thermo-bimetal bending tester, model WQY. After completing manufacturing and commissioning, the equipment was delivered to Shanghai on March 17, 2017. Our technical team then completed on-site installation, commissioning, and user training, and the system passed acceptance.
The thermo-bimetal bending tester is designed in accordance with GB/T 8364-2008, Method for Measuring the Bending Constant of Thermo-Bimetals. It measures key parameters such as relative bending, thermal curvature, and bending constants. Typical applications include comprehensive thermal-physical performance testing of raw materials used in automatic temperature controllers and safety devices for household appliances. Building on the base standard, the system extends functionality to include constant-pressure thermal bending tests and fixed-displacement thermal pressure tests.
The instrument adopts a cantilever beam method. A closed-loop system is formed by the specimen, specimen clamp, displacement measuring rod, displacement sensor, and pressure sensor. Leveraging the inherent characteristic that the curvature of a thermo-bimetal varies with temperature, the tester controls the contact pressure between the specimen and the displacement rod to measure the displacement–deflection at the free end of the specimen.
