Dual-plate guarded hot plate system for determining thermal conductivity of insulation and other low-conductivity solid materials. Suitable for fibrous boards, foams (XPS/EPS/PUR), composites, vacuum panels, rubber and cement products, powders, and similar specimens in compliance with GB/T 10294, ASTM C518, and ISO 8302.

Product Description

The DRX-II-300A measures steady-state thermal conductivity using a guarded hot plate configuration with hot and cold plates and integrated thermal protection to minimize environmental heat interference. It supports automatic parallel alignment of the specimen surfaces, precise temperature control, and optional electronic or fluid-assisted cooling on the cold side to maintain stable test conditions.

The system offers real-time thickness and pressure monitoring, compensation for specimen thickness and mean temperature, and self-calibration for thermal conductivity and heating power. It interfaces with a computer for real-time control, data acquisition, analysis, and report generation, supporting applications in materials testing institutes, research organizations, quality control laboratories, and universities.
