Refractory Material Thermal Shock Tester

Published: 8/24/2021

Bench-top thermal shock tester designed to evaluate the thermal shock resistance of refractory products and other non-metallic materials. Compliant with YB/T 376.1 and YB/T 2206.1-1998 test methods, with options for compressed-air quench and water quench.

Product Description

The RZL-14/16 thermal shock tester assesses the resistance of refractory bricks, ceramics, glass, graphite, and silicate products to rapid temperature changes. The fixture can rotate horizontally to simplify specimen loading and to allow clear observation of end-face damage during cycling.

The system is built to the requirements of YB/T 376.1 and meets YB/T 2206.1-1998, offering two cooling methodologies: compressed-air flow and water quench. Optional automatic program control provides digital display and automatic recording of thermal shock cycle counts.
