Crucible Resistance Furnace (Smelting/Flux Furnace), SG2 Series

Published: 7/20/2016

The SG2 Series crucible resistance furnace provides controlled high-temperature melting for ceramics, glass, enamel, abrasives, inorganic pigments, alloys, and composite materials. It uses automatic temperature control to heat a crucible for smelting, flux preparation, and laboratory physico-chemical experiments, and can also serve as small-scale production equipment.

Product Description

The SG2 Series is a crucible-structured resistance furnace designed for melting and flux preparation in R&D labs and light production. Typical applications include frit and glaze formulation, glass and low-temperature flux melting, enamel glaze and binder preparation, and general alloy and composite material melting, as well as related physico-chemical tests.

Material is charged from the crucible top; once melted, the product is discharged through a lower outlet into water for rapid quenching and fragmentation. Temperature is automatically managed via programmable control with PID regulation, and heating elements are selected according to the target temperature range.
