The DRX Thermal Conductivity Meter measures steady-state thermal conductivity and thermal resistance of homogeneous, plate-like insulation materials using the guarded hot plate principle. It is designed for laboratory evaluation of insulation performance in accordance with GB 10294-2008.

Product Description

The DRX series is engineered around a dual-specimen guarded hot plate architecture to determine thermal resistance R and calculate thermal conductivity based on specimen thickness under steady-state heat flow. Specimens are clamped between parallel hot and cold plates held at controlled temperatures; when the system stabilizes, thermocouple signals and surface temperatures are acquired to compute results with high repeatability.

A modular mainframe streamlines installation and service, while the dual-specimen assembly uses polymer-faced plates that provide good thermal contact, compliance, and wear resistance to enhance accuracy. The cold unit integrates a pneumatic clamping mechanism with adjustable air pressure to meet the standard requirement (≤2.5 kPa on the specimen) and employs direct-cooled side plates with dedicated temperature control for rapid stabilization. A fully enclosed, air-cooled refrigeration compressor delivers low noise, uniform cooling capacity, and long service life.

The system includes an industrial control package for automated data acquisition, temperature/time control, calculation, and report output. Multiple specimen size configurations are available to accommodate different material panels, and custom dimensions can be supplied on request.
