The SC Vacuum Clay Mixer prepares plastic ceramic clay by mixing, de-airing, and extruding material under vacuum. It is suited for laboratories and small-scale production in ceramics, including bricks, household porcelain, and industrial ceramics, with mold-based extrusion of tubes, tiles, and sheets.
Product Description
The SC Vacuum Clay Mixer is a single-shaft, horizontal mixer-extruder designed for efficient clay preparation in ceramic R&D and pilot-scale environments. Material is fed and conveyed by a helical screw while being crushed, sheared, mixed, and extruded through an interchangeable die to form various ceramic profiles.
Its core assemblies include the motor, reducer, feed body, spiral blade shaft with mixing paddles, screen plate, vacuum chamber, machine head and outlet, along with a vacuum pump and vacuum gauge. De-airing in the vacuum chamber significantly improves the physical properties and forming consistency of the clay. The mixer is suitable for plastic clays with moisture content in the range of 18.5–22%, with lower moisture recommended for clay with higher hard-material content and slightly higher moisture for softer formulations.
