Microcomputer-Controlled Constant-Temperature Sintering Resistance Furnace

Published: 9/16/2020

The UKW-500 is a microprocessor-controlled constant-temperature sintering furnace designed for uniform heating up to 500°C with PID regulation. It is suited for sintering, annealing, melting, and physico-chemical testing of plastics, ceramics, and composite materials in industrial and research settings.

Product Description

The furnace uses resistance wire heating elements with PID control via an imported dual-microprocessor regulator (0.1-class accuracy) and SSR solid-state relays to deliver stable and precise temperature performance. A forced-air circulation design places the heating elements in channels between the chamber and inner wall, driven by a motorized fan to enhance heat transfer and significantly improve temperature uniformity.

The chamber is constructed from polycrystalline mullite fiber insulation, with ultra-fine silica wool packed around the walls to minimize heat loss. An electric lift door enables automated opening and closing, and an exhaust duct with a shutoff mechanism at the rear top facilitates the connection of fume extraction to remove process gases.

The base integrates a heavy-duty rolling platform and fixed rails for smooth loading and unloading of workpieces up to 500 kg. A rotating bottom tray driven at a constant 1–5 rpm further improves thermal uniformity around the load; the tray uses SiC plates and a heat-resistant stainless-steel shaft for durability under repeated thermal cycling.

Dual thermocouples (upper and lower zones) are independently managed by two programmable controllers to achieve zoned temperature control profiles. The control system supports 50-step programmed heating, three-phase power regulation, and bidirectional thyristor voltage regulation to handle high power while maintaining precise temperature stability.

The furnace housing is a welded steel structure with a painted A3 sheet exterior for rigidity and longevity. Multiple chamber size options accommodate a range of sample volumes and process requirements while maintaining the system’s core performance characteristics.
