Product Description
The GHC-II High Temperature Specific Heat Capacity Tester utilizes the mixing method to measure the specific heat capacity of solid materials across different temperature ranges. The system integrates a tubular vertical resistance furnace (using different heating elements such as resistance wire, molybdenum wire, or graphite tube depending on temperature requirements), a thermostat, a temperature controller, a high precision thermometer, a calorimeter, and a computer-based test system. During operation, samples are heated to the desired temperature within the furnace and then dropped into the calorimeter, where the computer system records the temperature change of both the samples and the calorimeter to calculate the specific heat capacity.
The instrument is particularly designed for research and educational purposes, providing precise measurement and analysis of the thermal properties of various solid materials. It facilitates studies on materials that are prone to oxidation at high temperatures by supporting a vacuum system as part of its configuration.
