The DTM-II Dynamic Elastic Modulus Tester evaluates the elastic modulus by measuring the resonance frequency of materials through impact and frequency analysis. It is primarily used in industries such as construction, metallurgy, and materials science for analyzing concrete, plastics, metals, and other non-metallic materials.

Product Description

The DTM-II Dynamic Elastic Modulus Tester complies with ASTM C-215 and C-666 standards, and fulfills the testing requirements of SL352-2006 and other relevant protocols for concrete. It can connect to a computer for fully automated analysis, measuring the resonance frequency and elastic modulus of concrete, metallic, plastic, and other non-metal materials. It employs an accelerometer sensor to measure basic resonance frequency through impact by an exciter, storing and displaying the spectrum on a computer screen. The system can automatically calculate maximum amplitude, eliminating the need for manual frequency scanning.

Characteristic resonance frequencies are identified using Fast Fourier Transform, enabling durability studies on concrete under extreme environments, such as freeze-thaw cycles. The tester allows repeated tests on the same specimen over extended periods, reducing the need for multiple specimens. Results obtained with the resonance method offer higher repeatability compared to destructive methods across different specimens.
