Digital Glass Stress Analyzer

Published: 8/25/2016

The SWY-I Digital Glass Stress Analyzer measures internal stress in glass and birefringent optical materials using polarized light interference and quarter-wave plate compensation. It is suited for quality control and laboratory analysis in optical instrument manufacturing, glass production, and glassware processing per GB/T 4545.

Product Description

The SWY-I is designed to evaluate internal stress in glass products and to observe birefringence in crystals by employing polarized light interference. With a sensitive tint plate and 1/4-wave plate compensation, it supports qualitative or semi-quantitative inspection by interference color order and precise quantitative stress measurement.

The instrument is intended for optical instrument factories, glass manufacturers, glass product plants, and laboratories that need to assess stress in optical glass, glassware, and other optical materials. It offers automatic display and printout of results and supports both qualitative detection (presence of stress) and quantitative evaluation by rotating the analyzer to null the brightest point and converting angle and thickness to stress values.
