Glass Density Comparator
Published: 3/27/2019
The Glass Density Comparator MD-2 measures the density of glass or other non-porous solids within the range of 1.1 to 3.3 g/cm³ using buoyancy comparison method. It is ideal for glass manufacturers to monitor and control production processes, as well as for research institutions studying the density of glass and other solid materials.
Product Description
The MD-2 Glass Density Comparator is designed to accurately measure the density of glass and other non-porous materials by comparing the buoyancy of these materials in a liquid medium. This instrument is especially useful for glass manufacturers to consistently monitor and adjust production procedures to ensure quality and consistency in their products.
It can also be applied in research settings for determining the density of various solid materials, including ceramics with known porosity. The comparator is based on the principles set out in standard GB/T14901-1994, which specifies the float method for density determination of glass.
