Insulation Materials Thermal Conductivity Tester

Published: 9/25/2023

The DRX-II-300A measures the thermal conductivity of insulation and other low-to-medium conductivity solid materials using the guarded hot plate method. It supports a wide range of specimens including fibrous boards, foams, composites, and powders for research, quality control, and education.

Product Description

The DRX-II-300A is a guarded hot plate thermal conductivity tester engineered for insulation and related building materials. It evaluates steady‑state thermal performance of materials such as glass and ceramic fibers, XPS/EPS/PUR foams, laminated composites, vacuum insulation panels, rubber and cement products, powders, fillers, and gypsum boards.

The instrument features an internal dual-plate architecture with robust thermal guarding and high-precision temperature sensing and compensation. Automatic parallel alignment minimizes non-parallel errors between hot and cold plates, while selectable electronic and refrigerant-based cooling options stabilize the cold side. Integrated fuzzy PID control tracks and regulates plate temperatures, and software provides real-time control, data analysis, and reporting. Typical users include materials testing laboratories, research institutes, factory QA departments, and universities.
