Ceramic Water Absorption Tester (2016 Standard)

Published: 4/18/2017

Bench-top tester for determining water absorption of building and sanitary ceramics per GB/T 3810.3-2016, also applicable to density and porosity methods in related GB/T standards. Integrated electromechanical system with a water-ring vacuum pump and digital control for low-noise, reliable operation.

Product Description

The XQK Ceramic Water Absorption Tester is designed to measure water absorption of ceramic tiles and sanitary ceramics in accordance with GB/T 3810.3-2016. It also supports related measurements aligned with GB/T 2997-2000 for bulk density, apparent and true porosity of dense shaped refractories, and GB/T 2413-1981 for volume density of piezoelectric ceramics.

The instrument adopts an integrated electromechanical structure consisting of a vacuum chamber, water-circulating (water-ring) vacuum pump, inlet and drain valves, a water reservoir, and a digital controller. The water-circulating vacuum pump provides low operating noise, reduced wear, and lower power consumption, enhancing overall stability and ease of use.

Typical accessory setup for the test method includes a drying oven, a laboratory vacuum apparatus, and an analytical balance with 0.01 g readability. Testing should be performed strictly according to GB/T 3810.3-2016 or applicable standards.
