Product Description
The KS-B Digital Microcomputer Plasticity Tester is designed to evaluate the plasticity of ceramic bodies with precision and repeatability. It supports two test approaches to characterize material behavior under load for different specimen geometries.
The Plasticity Indicator method determines plasticity by analyzing the stress–strain relationship during compression of a cylindrical specimen, minimizing operator influence and providing a more scientific assessment via the defined plasticity index R. The Plasticity Index method evaluates the resistance of a spherical specimen to shape change, providing a complementary measure for mud body formulations.
Typical users include quality control and R&D labs in ceramics, electrical porcelain, building materials, and abrasive manufacturing. The instrument’s controlled loading, displacement measurement, and defined platen speed help ensure consistent, standards-compliant results.
