The GHC-II measures the specific heat capacity of solid materials at elevated temperatures using a mixing (drop calorimetry) method with automated data acquisition. It is designed for research and teaching applications requiring accurate Cp determination across a wide temperature range.

Product Description

The GHC-II is a high-temperature specific heat capacity tester that employs the mixing method: a preheated sample is dropped from a vertical tube furnace into a calorimeter, and the resulting temperature changes are recorded to calculate Cp. The system integrates a vertical tube resistance furnace, thermostatic bath, temperature controller, high-precision thermometer, calorimeter, and a computer-based measurement system for fully automated acquisition and analysis.

Heating elements are configured according to target temperature: resistance wire up to 1000°C, molybdenum wire up to 1700°C, and a graphite furnace tube above 1700°C. For oxidation-prone samples, an inert atmosphere or vacuum configuration is used to protect the specimen during high-temperature exposure.
