The PCY-III-1200 is an automated horizontal dilatometer for precise measurement of the thermal expansion coefficient of glass. It supports broader thermo-mechanical studies such as softening point, glass transition, sintering kinetics, and phase changes across diverse materials.
Product Description
PCY-III-1200 is designed for accurate determination of the thermal expansion behavior of glass using a horizontal push-rod configuration. The system integrates intelligent temperature control and PC-based software for setup, data acquisition, archiving, and report output.
Typical applications include measurement of thermal expansion coefficient, softening temperature, glass transition temperature, phase transformation behavior, density change with temperature, and rate-controlled sintering studies. It is suitable for glass, ceramics, building materials, polymers, refractories, metals, and alloys.
The instrument is supplied with a test host, software, integrated furnace, quartz sample holder, and a quartz reference standard; a computer is user-provided. Quartz fixtures support solid and powder specimens when used with dedicated molds.
