Digital Glass Bottle Polariscope Stress Tester

The SWY-I Digital Glass Bottle Polariscope Stress Tester is designed for detecting stress in glass products. It utilizes the polarized light interference principle to examine internal stress or crystal birefringence effects within glass. This instrument comes equipped with sensitive color plates and uses a quarter-wave plate compensation method, enabling users to conduct a qualitative or semi-quantitative measurement of glass internal stress by observing interference color sequences. Additionally, it allows for precise quantitative measurements of internal stress values in glass. Ideally suited for optical instrument manufacturers, glass factories, and laboratories, it enables the measurement of stress in optical glass, various glass products, and other optical materials.

With its qualitative and quantitative analysis capabilities, the instrument can detect whether stress is present and determine the extent of the stress. By activating the power, with no sample the entire field of view appears dark brown. Once a sample is placed in alignment with the analyzer, the brightest point corresponds to the maximum stress point. By rotating the analyzer scale until the bright point becomes dark brown, users can record the scale rotation angle and the thickness at that point to calculate the stress value using a formula. This device offers automatic display and printout capabilities.
