The DIL0809PC measures dimensional change of materials as a function of temperature or time under near-zero load to determine linear and volumetric thermal expansion behavior. It serves R&D and quality control across ceramics, metals, polymers, refractories, coatings, and composite materials, conforming to ASTM E831, ASTM D696, ASTM D3386, and DIN 51045.
Product Description
The DIL0809PC is a horizontal push-rod dilatometer designed to characterize thermal expansion, shrinkage, glass transition, softening, sintering densification, and phase transitions of solids, molten metals, powders, and coatings. Its differential sensor design and proximity thermocouple placement deliver high repeatability without the need for external isothermal equipment.
A tube-style sample support with an easy-loading groove accommodates non-ideal specimen geometries for efficient setup. The supplied software automates measurement and analysis and offers Rate-Controlled Sintering (RCS), dynamically optimizing the heating rate based on shrinkage rate to maintain a constant densification rate and streamline process development.
