Product Description
The Thermal Conductivity Tester employs a laser flash method where a laser pulse is used to heat a small area of a material sample. The subsequent temperature increase on the sample's opposite surface is detected by a high-speed infrared detector. From the temperature-time data, the thermal diffusivity is calculated, which, combined with additional measurements of specific heat, allows for determination of thermal conductivity. This method is known for its speed and precision.
This instrument is widely applicable for measuring the thermal conductivity of metals and alloys, ceramics, graphite and carbon fibers, filled plastics, high polymers, as well as liquid and thin film heat conductors. It also complies with GJB 1201.1-91 and ASTM D 1461 standards, making it suitable for various materials including solids, liquids, and powders.
The device supports samples in various forms: solids, low viscosity liquids, high viscosity liquids, semi-solids, and films, and it can also work under vacuum and protective gas conditions. The modular design allows temperature measurement from -125°C to 2800°C, making it versatile for different experimental needs.
